Leah Deane of Portugal’s legendary W. & J. Graham’s will lead participants through the “ultimate sweet dessert sensation,” the Chocolate & Port Seminar. Promising to help “solve of the mysteries” of port wines, Deane says she’ll be pouring several of the company’s selections – the famous 6 Grapes, a couple of rubies and a 20-year-old tawny- all paired with heavenly treats made of what experts consider the world’s finest chocolate. “It’s a sticky job, but someone has to do it,” says Deane.”

Guido’s went one further, presenting not just a five-course meal, but an honest-to-goodness fashion show to boot.
The night continued, and so did the wines and the courses until Leah Deane, manager of the wine festival, ended it all by striding the runway in a bouffant confection of a dress plastered with the paper labels of the evening’s wines and inviting diners to strike their own poses and take selfies with her.

Three people at the heart of the Sexual Assault Services Organization’s fifth annual Collaborative Chefs Showcase are, from left, Leah Deane, from Republic National Distributing and Grand Vin, chef Dave Cuntz from Carver Brewing Co., and SASO Executive Director Maura Doherty Demko.
